In Crust We Trust is an accumulation of musical ideas that utilises noisy homemade electronic instruments and malfunctioning equipment as source material to create compositions reflecting the seemingly natural chaotic tendencies of modified music technology.Circuit bending has been a key methodology to alter low voltage electronic devices like sound toys, guitar pedals and DIY oscillators as this offers an authentic sound that is unique to the modified device which therefore offers an original sound to the entire collection. Considering sound as a plastic medium, the content has been sculpted and redesigned into ‘familiar’ timbres and arrangements stylistically similar to electronic genres such as Dubstep, Hip Hop and Glitch.
